– Begin your hike from **Xizhazi Village**, with approximately 4 hours of hiking to reach the **Mutianyu Great Wall**

11. It is advisable to bring your passport or a copy with you, as there is always a security check around Tiananmen Square. You may also need it to enter Chairman Mao’s mausoleum.

2. The hike on the Great Wall is approximately 11 km. To save energy, you can take a shortcut at Ox Horn Edge.

3. Most people are capable of completing this hike. If you wish to hike the steeper sections, please inform us one day in advance.

4. What to bring for the hike: comfortable shoes or boots, snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a walking stick, lip balm, and a hat.

5. There are no restrooms along the path on the Wall, but we will take you to a toilet before the hike.

6. We typically return to the city around 5 PM, so please plan your evening accordingly.

7. Lunch is usually served after 2 PM, so it is advisable to have a substantial breakfast or bring something to eat during the hike.

8. Unlimited bottles of water will be stored in our vehicle; you will need to carry them.

9. We do not visit tourist shops or factories to ensure that we make the most of our time.

10. Tips for our guides are always appreciated, but they are not expected. They should be given if you feel your guide has done an outstanding job and wish to show your appreciation. Typically, people give between 50 and 100 RMB per person per day.
