Itinerary:

Your guide will welcome you to your hotel lobby.

Then you will guide to Tiananmen Square by public transfer or Taxi. (on your request)

Tiananmen Square is the heart of China for over 600 years. You will learn about its past and today. After 1/2 hour’s walk at Tiananmen Square and then going through the middle gate of Tiananmen Square, you’ll see a vast red gate that is the Forbidden City. Then you will go on a quite lovely walk to see the fantastic imperial city and hear unique stories. You will have a lot of opportunities for beautiful pictures. The tour will finish at the north gate of the Forbidden City.

After the Forbidden City, you will lead up to Jingshan Park where you can enjoy a birds-eye view of the whole city. It is the best place to see the entire Forbidden City.

Then you will walk through a lovely local Park—Beihai Park. This park is very famous for its view and local activities. You will see people dancing or playing games in the park.

After Beihai Park, you will get to Houhai which has a lot of restaurants and bars around. You will have a lunch or coffee stop. Your guide will recommend you great restaurants and bars here for you to choose from.

In the afternoon, you will be guided to climb up the drum tower which is the highest tower in the hutong area. You can enjoy the magnificent view of the Hutongs from this tower.

After the sights seeing, you will guide to Chaoyang theatre by subway (10 minutes). Enjoy the most famous acrobatic show from China.

Your guide will help you get back to your hotel.

Good to know:

1. It is better to take your passport or a copy with you. There is always a security check around Tiananmen Square. And you may need it if you want to go into Chairman Mao’s mausoleum.

2. The tour is not with private transfer, but the public transfer and taxi are easy to use in the city. If you take the subway, it roughly costs 15RMB per person for this tour.

3. Lunch is not included in the tour package, but we will give you great recommendations.

4. Tips are always appreciated by our guides but never expected. They should be given if you believe your guide did an outstanding job, and further, if you as an individual want to demonstrate your appreciation to the guide for that job well done.
