Huanghuacheng Great Wall gets its name from the artificial reservoir lakes located nearby. Unlike the more popular tourist sections of the Great Wall, such as Mutianyu and Badaling, the Lakeside Great Wall typically attracts only a small number of visitors. This section offers scenic views, including parts of the Great Wall submerged under lake water and the breathtaking sight from a high guard tower reached by a steep hike.
