Itinerary:

Our tour guide will be waiting for you at the Beijing International Airport pick-up area, holding a sign with your name.

After the pick-up, it will take about one hour to drive from the airport to the Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall is popular among travelers due to its stunning scenery, fewer crowds, and beautifully restored architecture.

To save you time, we will use a round-trip cable car to transfer you to the Great Wall (or you can opt for the ski lift up and toboggan down), allowing you to avoid climbing over 800 steps. Once you arrive at the Great Wall, you’ll have approximately 2 hours to hike along the wall. The hike is flexible, allowing you to enjoy the experience at your own pace without feeling rushed.

After the hike, our guide will take you to a lovely local restaurant where you can enjoy a fresh and delicious Chinese lunch or dinner. After your meal, you will be dropped off at the airport.

Alternatively, we can also drop you off at your hotel in downtown Beijing or near the airport.

FAQS

Is there enough time to visit the Wall if my flight arrives after 2 pm?
I calculated that if your flights arrive at Beijing airport after 1 PM, it would be better to schedule a visit to the Huanghuacheng Great Wall, which has not been reconstructed and does not close at night.

Is lunch ok for vegetarians?
We chose a lovely local restaurant that serves excellent Chinese food, with many vegetarian options available.

My flight left in the middle of the night, is there any other place to visit in the evening?
There are limited attractions near the Mutianyu Great Wall, so your driver and guide can take you back to the city afterward. You can visit places like Olympic Park, Houhai Lake, and Tiananmen Square. If you wish to keep the driver and tour guide for a longer period, please let us know in advance, and we will assist you in customizing a night tour itinerary.

My flight arrives in Beijing very early. What is the earliest time the driver and guide can pick us up?

Since the Mutianyu Great Wall opens at 8 a.m., it’s not advisable to arrive too early and wait outside. The earliest pickup time can be scheduled for 6:30 a.m. This way, you’ll be among the first to enjoy the Great Wall. We can also stop for breakfast on the way; we would be happy to take you to a local Chinese restaurant for an authentic meal.

What is the tipping policy?

Tips are always appreciated by our guides but are never expected. They are generally given if you feel that your guide did an outstanding job, as a way to show your appreciation. Typically, guests give gratuities ranging from 50 to 100 RMB per person per day.

Does this tour include any shopping stops?

No, we do not visit tourist shops, factories, or similar places that waste your valuable time.
