Your guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby at 8:30 AM.

After passing through the middle gate of Tiananmen Square, you will encounter a grand red gate, which serves as the entrance to the Forbidden City—the highlight of today’s tour. The Forbidden City was once a magnificent imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Located in the heart of Beijing, it was the Emperor’s residence and the center of Chinese authority for nearly five hundred years, where important ceremonies and policy-making occurred.

Following the visit to the Forbidden City, we will drive for 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall. During the trip, lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will explore the Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall is popular among travelers due to its stunning scenery, fewer crowds, and beautifully restored architecture. To save you time, we will use a round-trip cable car to access the Great Wall (or you may opt for the ski lift and toboggan down) so you can avoid climbing over 800 steps. Once you arrive at the Great Wall, you will have approximately 2 hours to hike along the wall.

You will be dropped off at your hotel after visiting the Great Wall at around 5 PM.

1. It’s MUST to bring your passport or a copy of it, as there is always a security check near Tiananmen Square. You may also need it if you wish to enter Chairman Mao’s mausoleum.

3. We avoid visiting tourist shops, factories, and similar places to make the most of our time together.

4. While tips are always appreciated by our guides, they are not expected. You may give a tip if you believe your guide did an outstanding job and wish to show your appreciation for their efforts. Typically, our clients give between 50 and 100 RMB per person.
